Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Ophthalmologist to join their Eye Services department in Fargo, ND. This role offers a varied, challenging, and rewarding clinic-based practice with a large base of referring physicians and optometrists. The position involves providing comprehensive ocular and visual care to patients of all ages within one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the United States.

- Sanford's Eye Service Department includes 2 ophthalmologists, 6 optometrists, opticians, and 2 onsite retail optical stores.

Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit patients (if applicable to setting).
- Evaluate, diagnose, and consult on patients of all ages with ocular and visual disorders.
- Provide nonsurgical and surgical procedures on patients of all ages with ocular and visual disorders, including those of the eye and its component structures, the eyelids, the orbit, and the visual pathways.

Requirements
- BC/BE in Ophthalmology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of North Dakota.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Ophthalmology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable (required within five years from residency completion if not board certified at time of application).
- Demonstrate at least 50 Ophthalmology procedures in the last 12 months (if not applying directly out of residency).
