Operator TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated Operator Technician with the potential to advance into a Maintenance Technician role. Initially, you will start as a Finish Technician, setting up machines and being the first responder to machine malfunctions within a specific department. Your role will involve setting up finishing machines, troubleshooting and repairing issues to a certain extent, and collaborating with Maintenance Technicians to solve complex problems. You will also guide other operators to prevent repetitive machine errors and oversee all equipment in your department.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate finishing machines.Respond promptly to machine malfunctions.Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, escalating to Maintenance Technicians as needed.Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to develop troubleshooting skills.Educate and guide operators to avoid repetitive machine errors.Monitor equipment including hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, spray guns, hoses, conveyors, elevators, ovens, sealers, sanders, and more.Communicate effectively via radio calls.Work overtime and assist in other areas when necessary.Essential SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude.Basic understanding of electrical systems.Ability to work in high temperatures and with paint/stain fumes.Logical thinking and problem-solving skills.Mechanical troubleshooting skills with pumps, spray guns, hoses, belts, brushes, and more.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic electrical understanding.Experience with machine operating and setup.Customer service mindset.Why Work Here?Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, and life insurance starting from day one. 401k plans with matching contributions, PTO accrual, and discounts on cabinets are available after a short employment period.
