Production Fulfillment Process OperatorImplement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Operate one or more CNC production machining centers to include but not limited to lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, etc.

First of Four levels of CNC machining center operators. Loads and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are made and maintained by higher level operators.Essential Job FunctionsOperate multiple types of fabrication equipment:Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blue printsBasic recognition of tooling and procedures within established tolerancesComplete work order paperworkChecks parts for conformance to customer specifications.Maintain count and perform packaging duties as requiredParticipate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the departmentPerform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubricationMaintain a clean and organized work areaProvide guidance, feedback and positive behavior modeling The Gund Company culture of care:Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for useMake suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiencyAssist with training other team membersFollow safety rules and quality standardsModel ethical and moral behavior consistent with the values and ideals supported by The Gund CompanyQualifications and CompetenciesRequires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications, or equivalent.Perform work independently with minimal defectsCommunicate with supervisor on work order priorityOpen to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of partsBasic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudesAbility to use basic measuring instrumentsExcellent problem solving skillsMust be able to work overtime as neededEducation and ExperienceA High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is may be required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
