This position is in Cargill's food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.The Chemical Plant Operator I will operate, perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues for a series of machines and equipment in the use of chemicals to produce consumer products while following established policies and procedures and under frequent guidance.

In this role, you will run analytical tests and ensure quality control during chemical processes and maintain a dynamic and continuous process flow that meets safety and regulatory compliance.Location: Buckeye, AZJob Type: Full timeShift Available: 1st, 2nd and 3rdCompensation: $23.00 per hour and $1.50 hourly night shift differentialBenefits Information:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug InsuranceHealth and Wellness IncentivesPaid Vacation and Holidays401(k) with Cargill matching contributionsFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Short-Term Disability and Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition ReimbursementEmployee DiscountsA Typical Work Day May Include:Set up and operate equipment, technology tools and chemical, mechanical or thermal processes in assigned area or areas of the production facility with readily definable variables.Monitor equipment and controls panels, execute manual valves, sample and run analytical tests, perform basic adjustments to chemical processes as needed and utilize computer systems to input and record data, working from written or verbal instructions.Identify continuous improvement of facility operations relative to area(s) of responsibility, with limited authority to make changes, as defined by management.Ensure collection and completion of safety permits, safety reviews and safety practices.Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e. Forklift, Skid Loader, Sit Down Floor Sweeper, Front End Loader).Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance and complete repair work.Use power tools, basic hand tools and electrical tools to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot routine machine performance issues and assist on more complex maintenance work.Other duties as assignedWhat You Will Need:Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Basic computer skillsAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areasAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticeHigh school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experienceWhat Will Put You Ahead:Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systemPrior experience working in production related workForklift experienceEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
