Forklift Operator
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution centre. Primary duties include transporting palletized product within the distribution center, operating material handling equipment, using RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy, and following site safety procedures.
Education and experience required include a high school diploma or GED, one year of relevant experience, and intermediate experience with high reach or counterbalance. Experience with Manhattan WMS is preferred. Knowledge and skills include obtaining forklift certification, reading and interpreting distribution documents, operating MHE and using an RF scanner, and possessing basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Physical demands include walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting over 50lbs in some areas, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type, and occasional climbing. The associate must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and sufficient hearing to safely operate MHE in a manufacturing/distribution environment. The noise level is moderate to loud, and there will be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, precarious situations, potential temperature excursions, and occasionally fumes/airborne particles.
