Operations Support TechnicianWTR Search - Renewables has partnered with an industry-leading energy company to locate a traveling Operations Support Technician. This position is based in Texas and will require travel up to 90% of the time to support other wind farms in the region. Relocation assistance is available.This position works alongside a team of highly trained professionals to maintain wind facilities with a strong focus on major component replacement and preventative maintenance.ResponsibilitiesPerform assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, retrofitting, and maintenance for optimal performanceTravel to other company sites in the region to perform specialized repairs and major component exchangesMaintain strict safety protocols, including hazard assessments and PPE complianceProvide Root Cause Analysis support for diagnosing equipment failures and ensuring regulatory complianceTool and documentation management to maintain efficiency and adherence to industry standardsTroubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit low to medium-voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components/equipment associated with wind turbines and the wind farmPerform preventative maintenance activities safely and efficiently on wind turbines and associated equipment located on the wind farmRequirementsThree or more years of hands-on experience as a Wind TechnicianHands-on expertise with major turbine components, rigging, and various hand/power toolsStrong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skillsFlexibility to work overtime and on rotating shifts as requiredMaintain required training certifications and qualificationsAbility to safely travel to the wind farm within 45 minutes in the event of an emergencyComfortable with travel (50%–85%), working at heights, and managing adverse weather conditionsRequires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and eligibility for a U.S.
