The WCS ensures that all teams operate safely, meet takt time and schedule targets, and deliver high-quality output in alignment with KPIs. This role manages multiple Team Leads and Operators and partners closely with the Operations Manager to identify constraints, support continuous improvement, and maintain flow across the work center.Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville locations and does not offer remote work.
Second shift hours are 3:00pm - 11:30pm EST.Essential FunctionsLead daily execution of production activities in the assigned work center to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.Supervise, coach, and evaluate Team Leads and Operators, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.Ensure adherence to daily build schedules and takt time; escalate risks to production targets to the Operations Manager.Monitor and track performance against key metrics (output, defects, rework, attendance, downtime) and lead Tier 1 daily management meetings.Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure work center readiness (materials, tools, documents, etc.).Enforce safety protocols, 5S practices, standard work, and compliance with operational policies.Support onboarding, cross-training, and upskilling of team members in partnership with Learning & Development.Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for issues impacting quality, delivery, or safety.QualificationsBachelor's in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related degree. At least two years of additional relative experience, including demonstrated leadership, in lieu of a degree will also be considered.3-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including 1+ years in a formal or informal leadership role.Experience with takt time, standard work, visual management, and daily tier meetings.Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.Proficiency in basic digital tools (ERP, Excel, production dashboards).Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred SkillsCoaching & performance managementRoot cause analysis (5 Whys, fishbone, etc.)Conflict resolution & feedbackUnderstanding of Lean, 5S, and visual factory principlesAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced production environmentSpanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus.Why Join IEMAt IEM, you'll join a team that powers some of the world's most ambitious projects.
