This role drives daily execution by coaching associates, monitoring performance, maintaining quality and inventory standards, and resolving operational issues in real time.
The Operations Supervisor fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and safety while supporting operational goals and delivering an exceptional customer experience.General Description of Duties:Operate across the DC, Customer service, and delivery as operation needsServe as the critical link between the Operations Manager, Department Managers, and Associates, translating daily priorities and facility-wide goals into clear direction on the floorAssign daily work and task allocation to associates based on volume, staffing, and business priorities, adjusting in real time to meet production and service commitmentsMonitor productivity, throughput, and quality throughout the shift; identify bottlenecks and reallocate labor or resources to keep product moving in and out on scheduleLead daily team huddles to communicate priorities, safety topics, and performance expectationsCoach, train, and cross-train associates on processes, equipment, and quality standards; support onboarding of new hiresConduct performance check-ins, provide real-time feedback, and document attendance, conduct, and performance issuesPerform quality control checks and daily audits to ensure products are received, prepped, assembled, repaired, staged, or delivered to company standardsEnforce all safety protocols and PPE requirements; complete safety audits and immediately address unsafe conditions or behaviorsEnsure proper use, care, and daily inspection of warehouse equipment including RF scan guns, powered industrial equipment, hand trucks, and tabletsTrack and support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, spot checks, and timely reporting of discrepanciesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area consistent with 5S and company housekeeping standardsEscalate order, inventory, staffing, or customer issues to the Operations Manager with recommended solutions rather than surface-level reportingPartner with leaders across operational departments to coordinate workflows, ensure seamless handoffs, and maintain efficient end-to-end product flow throughout the facilityQualifications:Proven ability to lead complex, multi-functional operationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsComfortable navigating warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanning technology, and basic reporting toolsSafety-first mindset with working knowledge of OSHA regulations and powered industrial equipment operationStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting workloads simultaneouslyClear, professional verbal and written communication skills for coaching associates and reporting to leadershipRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred2-3 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or similar frontline leadership role3-5 years of experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environmentDemonstrated success coaching and developing associates preferredPowered industrial equipment (forklift) certification preferred or ability to obtain within an assigned timeframeAbility to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours as neededWork Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
