Operations SpecialistAs an Operations Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning and compliance of retirement plans.

Responsibilities encompass the processing of various retirement transactions, such as contributions, distributions, loans and transfers, an understanding of plan eligibility and vesting, and reconciliation of accounts across our platforms. This is a fast-paced position that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, effective communication skills, and is highly dependent on daily processing deadlines. While limited external client interaction is involved, your contributions are essential to ensuring we meet the needs of both our employers and their employees and maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in retirement plan administration.Primary Responsibilities:Process various retirement transactions accurately, such as contributions, distributions, loans and transfers, while meeting the demands of daily deadlines.Maintain accurate records of plan transactions, payroll schedules, bank accounts, and participant data. This includes reconciling contributions, distributions, cash and holdings.Communicate effectively, primarily with other internal stakeholders, and collaborate with others to ensure the needs of our clients and their employees are satisfied.Address and resolve issues related to plan operations, participant inquiries, and regulatory compliance. This may involve working with other departments or escalating to senior members of the team and/or leadership to find solutions.Perform quality control reviews and assist with research and resolution of issues with contributions, distributions, loans, and other transactionsProvide support with maintaining up-to-date documentation of systems and proceduresIdentify and propose process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of retirement plan administrationPrimary Skills & Requirements:Completion of ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF) certificate (may be obtained within first year of employment)Strong attention to details and organizational skillsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work effectively within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
