Job Summary

The Osher Center for Integrative Health is looking for a passionate Community Health focused leader to manage the under minimal supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management, planning, organizing, and executing all functions related to the daily operation of the University of Utah Wellness Bus. This includes all business operations, maintaining internal and external partnerships, staff supervision, financial stewardship, and community outreach. The successful candidate will act as a catalyst between the Osher Center for Integrative Health and our surrounding community ensuring the continuity and quality of services provided by the Wellness Bus Team.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • 1. Forecasts, develops and implements policies and procedures in the areas of customer service, staff management and budgetary goals and objectives that are consistent with University of Utah’s policies.
  • 2. Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers.
  • 3. Participates in University-wide committees to establish customer service standards and administrative plans and policies
  • 4. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships.
  • 5. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.
  • 6. Develops departmental strategies consistent with the assigned departments continuous quality improvement program.
  • 7. Ensures competency of staff through the development and/or presentation of educational programs and through on going staff performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

Senior Supervisor, Wellness Bus: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.

Manager, Wellness Bus: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.

Preferences

Current certification to practice as a Certified Health Coach in the State of Utah or Current certification to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Utah.
