Operations ManagerEaton's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking an Operations Manager. This is an onsite position at our GEIS Headquarters in Syracuse, NY. Relocation is provided within the United States.The expected annual salary range for this role is $ - $ a year.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:This position is responsible for leading the operational performance of the site – leading people and processes to achieve the site's Safety, Quality, and Customer Requirements. The incumbent will drive continuous improvement, serve as a liaison between the Plant Manager and the value stream managers and production supervisors, and partner with all manufacturing engineering activities to enable production processes at optimal capacity.
In this role you will:Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in incident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and policy enforcementFully engage workforce and promote personal accountability by identifying goals and empowering employees to drive decision makingFoster innovation and promote continuous learning by providing formal and informal feedback on employee performance. The Operations Manager puts specific focus and management on OTD, Gross Utilization/Productivity, and other key operational metricsPartner with the Supply Chain Manager and planning department to ensure continuous alignment between demand forecasts and load/capacity plans to optimize schedule executionLead the production supervision team, headcount planning, hiring selection, talent development, foster a high-performing work team culture, performance management for the operations and production workforceGuide and support facility and capital investment decisions to improve business performance and meet customer demand & quality requirementsLead the Operations organization, ensuring effective talent development and organizational design to achieve the site operational, supply chain, and financial objectivesPartner with manufacturing engineering team to provide optimal support to all departments according to specific responsibilitiesDrive continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System processes and problem-solving toolsCommunicate openly and effectively with employees, recognizing and rewarding employees for results and teamwork consistent with Eaton's high expectationsSupport goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Flex Productivity, and PeoplePerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Basic (Required) Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum of five (5) years of experience managing people in a manufacturing environmentEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
