Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!Operations Manager at PrimeFlightThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations, including leading the operations team, coordinating with airlines and airport authorities, and ensuring the implementation of operational procedures and policies.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations, this role is key in crisis management, handling emergencies and disruptions in close collaboration with senior leadership. Continuous analysis and improvement of operational processes to increase overall efficiency.ResponsibilitiesManage the delivery of services for customer airlines and airports in accordance with the contract and within the agreed budget levelEnsure safety and security policies and procedures are in accordance with all applicable standards setLiaise with airline station managers, airport operations managers, handling agents, Customs, Immigration and Security officials, and other airport stakeholdersManage local Recruiting and Staffing initiatives, following recruiting and hiring policies and procedures and ensuring staffing levels are maintained to meet internal/external service level/quality assurance standardsMonitor performance and take action to correct any shortfallsCollaborate with Senior leadership operational gaps, irregularities and auditsGuide and mentor the local teamInvestigate and report all accidents, incidents, and irregularities, including work-related accidents/incidents, passenger incidents involving PrimeFlight employees and property and/or aircraft damageEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws as well as required security measuresPromote and support workplace diversity initiativesAssist and/or lead startup operations across all lines of businessThe ability to backfill open leadership positions during times of vacancyMay be assigned other duties as requiredQualifications18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United States5 years of Leadership/Operational experienceStrong communication skillsEstablished leader in managing large teamsProject Management experience a plusAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of adaptive technologies or methods as necessaryEffectively communicate both in-person and through electronic meansTravel requirement >75% travel between airport stations and for meetingsPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operationMust have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
