Operations Manager - Relocation Services

We’re working with an established company in the moving and relocation industry that is looking to hire an Operations Manager - Relocation Services in the New York area. The role will focus on managing daily operations, coordinating crews and resources, and making sure household goods moves and relocation services are properly planned and delivered.

No two days a s an Operations Manager are the same, but your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day operation of household goods moves and relocation services.
• Scheduling moving crews, drivers and resources in line with operational requirements.
• Coordinating move schedules and making adjustments when operational issues arise.
• Monitoring active move files and keeping jobs on track from scheduling through to completion.
• Working closely with crews and internal teams to resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Maintaining clear communication around move schedules, timings and service requirements.
• Making sure operational processes and procedures are followed across each move.

Our client is particularly interested in candidates with:

• Previous operations management experience within the moving and relocation industry.
• Good knowledge of household goods moving and relocation operations.
• Experience scheduling crews, drivers and moving resources.
• A practical understanding of move planning and day-to-day operational requirements.
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple moves and changing schedules.
• Clear communication skills when working with crews, customers and internal teams.
