The company has 26 operating mines and processing facilities and two additional exploration stage properties across the United States and is headquartered in Katy, Texas.Location : Onsite,Lamesa, TX 79331, USMonday - Friday 24/7 Operation - This person will be required to be On-Call.
Some weekends as needed.Available Relocation: nationwideEssential Job Functions:Guides, organizes, and directs the hourly work force in conjunction with superintendents and supervisors.Manages plant operations and collaborates with maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained in satisfactory condition.Controls plant direct production and costs through effective planning and management.Assures training, implementation, and maintenance of quality, health, safety, and environmental programs.Assist the Plant Manager with development and execution of capital and annual budget plans.Performs administrative duties required to meet job goals including planning, budgeting, scheduling and reporting.Responsible for the overall management, direction and coordination of the production processes.Plans, evaluates, recommends, implements and monitors production to minimize costs and meet quality and regulatory needs for the operations. Coordinate interdepartmental needs.Provide for continual improvement in production in order to safely meet customer demands while working to reduce costs and increase productivity.Work with operators to collect data in a timely manner for trending, problem solving and root cause analysisCoordinate with the maintenance department to schedule preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance when unscheduled downtime occursFollow and promote all safety regulations and ensures plant adheres to the company EHS and MSHA policies and regulations.Manage the production departments, interface with mine personnel, and coordinate with maintenance, purchasing, customer service and accounting.Additional duties as assignedEducation, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must-havesValid driver's licenseAbility to physically maneuver throughout the mine and plantStrong communication and interpersonal skillsRequired SkillsLeadership and managementProduction planning and managementBudgeting and cost controlQuality, health, safety, and environmental program implementationMicrosoft Office Suite proficiencyRelevant computer software programsPreferred or Nice-to-have SkillsMining and leadership experienceEngineering background in mining or similar fieldProject management skillsSystemic thinking and problem-solvingYears of Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in mine supervisory/management, with at least 5 years in a management role Alternatively, 7+ years of experience in maintenance with a high school diploma or GEDIndustry Experience: Mining industry experience, particularly in production and maintenance Experience in a similar field, such as engineering or operations managementEducation Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences or Engineering Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with relevant experienceTravel Requirements: 20%Or refer someone
