Facility Operations ManagerProvide leadership, day-to-day direction, and oversight for facility operations involving the production and packaging of finished products including safety, quality, maintenance, and sanitation.Essential FunctionsCoordinate the work of supervisors to achieve plant goals/metrics in areas of safety, quality, cost, and productivityFocus on continuous improvement activities to improve efficiencies in the plantOversee the facility budget including direct/temp labor, overtime, and other plant expensesOversee employment-related transactions in conjunction with Human ResourcesFoster the professional growth of direct reports through comprehensive training and development programsWork with Sales and Quality Assurance on new product developmentCoordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure finished product meets established quality specifications and food safety standardsParticipate in plant self-assessment audits to ensure quality/food safety and environmental, health and safety standards are upheldMaintain departmental compliance with all regulatory requirements including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCPSupport food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured productsPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred5+ years of management experience in a food processing or regulated manufacturing facilityKnowledge of regulatory disciplines (EPA, OSHA, FDA, USDA)Experience with BRC or SQF Audits preferred; AIB Science of Baking and HACCP training course certificate desiredProficient knowledge of quality and food safety systemsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual desiredProven ability to provide leadership and drive efficienciesStrong employee relations skillsAbility to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business need
