Operations Manager Architectural Products GroupOldcastle APG is seeking a results driven Operations Manager to help lead manufacturing operations at our dry mix plant in Harrisonville, MO. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety and quality standards, and leading a high-performing production team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, lean manufacturing expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement to support our long-term business goals.Job Location: This is an onsite role based in Harrisonville, MO.Job Responsibilities:Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product qualityPlan and manage production schedules, work assignments, and resource allocation to meet output targetsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverage dashboards to identify gaps and implement corrective actionsLead root cause analysis for production issues and drive resolution strategiesLead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and frontline teamsFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learningConduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedbackChampion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsConduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as neededSupport and enforce health, safety, and environmental policiesIdentify and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and reduce wasteDrive process optimization and cost reduction initiativesEvaluate and introduce new technologies and methods to enhance operational efficiencyCollaborate with site leadership to develop long-term manufacturing strategiesPerform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and business objectivesEnter and maintain safety related data into Oldcastle programsAssist in the preparation, submittal, and maintenance of permit applications to the proper regulatory controlsUse acceptable methods of inspecting sample and test aggregates, asphalt, concrete, or other materials for the purpose of quality controlJob Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and/or 3+ years' experience in a similar industry or a combination of education and experience3+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in building materials or a related industryProven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teamsStrong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologiesFamiliarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools; experience with SAP or similar platforms preferredExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of OSHA standards; OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within 6 monthsWhat CRH Offers You:Highly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRH:CRH has a long and proud heritage.
