Our facility hosts recreational shooters, tournaments, charity shoots, corporate outings, and competitive events throughout the year.We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Pro Shop & Operations Manager to oversee daily pro shop operations and assist with managing the facility, staff, and shooting activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-run experience for all guests.Position OverviewThe Pro Shop & Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Cross Creek Clays pro shop while supporting the overall management of the shooting facility.
This role serves as a primary point of contact for members, guests, and event organizers while ensuring smooth operations across the property.Key Responsibilities Pro Shop & Customer OperationsGreet and assist customers, members, and event participants.Manage pro shop sales including ammunition, merchandise, and shooting accessories.Handle check-ins and check outs of customers.Familiar with Clover, Microsoft office, and excel.Maintain POS systems, daily sales records, and cash reconciliation.Manage inventory and ordering of pro shop merchandise, ammunition, and supplies.Assist new shooters with course orientation and general shooting guidance when needed.Knowledge of gun safety and up-to-date on range protocols and rules.Scheduling pro shop team.Course & Facility OperationsEnsure safe and efficient course operations.Enforce range safety rules and facility policies.Assist with communicating with grounds on basic maintenance and troubleshooting of clay target machines and equipment as needed.Communicate with grounds maintenance staff regarding course conditions and operational needs, this include weather related conditions.Charity Shoots & Corporate EventsAssist in planning, coordinating, and executing charity shoots, tournaments, and corporate outings.Serve as the on-site contact for event organizers and participants.Coordinate shooter check-in, scoring, check-out, and event logistics.Setup of events spaces and breakdowns.Communicate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.Help maintain a high-quality experience for sponsors, guests, and participants.Tournament & Scoring ManagementOperate tournament management systems such as Score Chaser for registrations, scoring, and reporting.Set up tournaments, Lewis Class options, concurrent categories, and scorecards.Print scorecards, reports, and payout sheets.Printing and mailing payout checks.Ensure accurate score entry and leaderboard management during competitions.Assist with auction coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, and prize distribution during tournament events.Staff SupportAssist with scheduling, training, and supervising pro shop staff and trappers.Provide operational guidance and maintain strong customer service standards.QualificationsPrevious experience in sporting clays, shotgun sports, or shooting range operations preferred.Retail and hospitality management experience is a plus.Strong customer service and communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Ability to multi-task during busy events and tournaments.Physical RequirementsAbility to occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to lift (25-35lbs) frequentlyAbility to assist with basic maintenance and equipment handling.CompensationHourly rate based on experience and knowledge.To ApplyPlease fill out the application below and upload your resume and letter of interest.
