About the Role

Voltage is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and optimize operational performance across manufacturing support, supply chain, logistics, and project execution. Location: Timberlake, NC (onsite). Schedule: Full-time | Exempt. Reporting to the VP of Global Operations, this role serves as a key leader driving alignment between domestic and international operations while ensuring efficient, scalable execution. You will play a critical role in building high‑performing teams, strengthening processes, and delivering operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across order intake, planning, procurement, production coordination, logistics, and delivery.
  • Drive on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) performance and ensure alignment with customer commitments.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes, workflows, and operational controls.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and lead‑time optimization.
  • Oversee supply chain planning, procurement support, and logistics execution.
  • Manage domestic and international transportation, including import/export coordination and compliance.
  • Optimize freight strategies and monitor transportation costs.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to ensure aligned execution.
  • Maintain visibility over project milestones, risks, and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee order governance, change management, and release processes.
  • Monitor operational budgets, cost performance, and KPI metrics.
  • Analyze data to drive improvements in service, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Support audits, risk management, and business continuity planning.
  • Lead, coach, and develop cross‑functional teams including Logistics and Project Management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing leadership.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience managing complex domestic and global supply chain operations.
  • Strong background in logistics, inventory control, and process optimization.
  • Proven ability to drive operational performance improvements and scale operations.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or renewable energy environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain and operational processes.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
