A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as Operations Associate, Cash Equities.
Responsibilities
- Support post-trade activity from transaction entry through final settlement
- Review transaction details and resolve processing, booking, allocation, and settlement discrepancies
- Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash across internal and external records
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party service providers to facilitate accurate and timely transaction processing
- Monitor pending activity and address failed, delayed, or partially completed transactions
- Assist with security-related events that affect open positions or cash activity
- Identify and escalate operational issues that may affect investment activity or reporting
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for transaction activity, exceptions, and outstanding items
- Partner with business and technology teams to strengthen workflows, controls, and data quality
- Support new products, counterparties, and operational initiatives as needed
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve scalability
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, established procedures, and applicable industry requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3–8 years of experience in investment operations, trade support, transaction processing, or a related financial-services function
- Understanding of transaction lifecycles and post-trade processes
- Experience with trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, and exception resolution
- Familiarity with financial-market participants and third-party service providers
