Operations Associate

MayTech Global Investments is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and driven Operations Associate to support our growing investment management firm. This individual will play a key role in daily investment operations while helping improve and automate the systems and processes that support trading, client service, account administration, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a background in financial services, investment operations, or technology, with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an interest in leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency. We welcome candidates with experience in either finance/trading or software development who are eager to expand their skills across both areas.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Operations

• Support daily investment operations, including trade execution, settlement monitoring, and reconciliations.
• Work with custodians and internal teams to research and resolve trading and operational issues.
• Assist with client onboarding, account maintenance, and portfolio administration.
• Prepare and review investment, client account, and compliance-related reports.
• Coordinate across investment, operations, and compliance teams to ensure accurate and efficient workflows.

Technology & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve operational accuracy.
• Develop and maintain internal tools, reporting dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Support integrations between custodial platforms, portfolio management systems, CRM, and internal databases.
• Assist with technology projects, system enhancements, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Document operational procedures and technology workflows to support scalability and consistency.

• Experience or demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following areas:
• Finance/Trading: Investment operations, trade execution, settlements, reconciliations, custodial platforms, or portfolio management systems.
• Technology: Python, SQL, software development, automation, APIs, database management, or systems integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at an investment management firm, RIA, hedge fund, or other financial institution.
• Familiarity with custodial and portfolio management platforms such as Schwab, Fidelity, SEI, Orion, or similar systems.
• Experience developing applications, automating workflows, or building reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of financial markets, securities, and investment processes.
• Experience managing technology or operational improvement projects.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
