We are partnered with a global institutional asset manager on a second line of defense Op Risk hire in New York.
This sits within the firm's Global Operational Risk team and combines traditional second line oversight with a meaningful new product advisory remit.
What you'll own:
- Operational risk identification, assessment, and monitoring across the US platform
- RCSAs at enterprise, business unit, and process levels
- Independent challenge on new product launches and material change initiatives
- KRI development and risk reporting to senior management and committees
- Thematic reviews across third-party, change, cyber, and resilience
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years of operational risk experience, ideally in asset management or financial services
- Strong grasp of op risk frameworks, RCSA methodology, and incident management
- Op risk advisory on new product approvals or change initiatives is a strong plus
- Credible across first line business heads and global risk peers
- Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
