About the Role:

At ARV Finance, we believe precision, responsiveness, and flexibility go hand in hand. We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-driven Accountant to manage our core financial operations. In this role, you will own full-cycle accounting processes while delivering the high-touch, white-glove service our clients, vendors, and partners depend on.

This position offers a balanced hybrid schedule: 1 to 2 days per week in our collaborative La Jolla office for team connection and strategy, with the remainder of the week worked remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Own general ledger maintenance, month-end close, journal entries, Chart of Accounts management, and bank reconciliations.
• Specialized Loan & Mortgage Accounting: Apply specialized expertise in loan and mortgage accounting, utilizing QuickBooks Desktop alongside Excel and Google Sheets for advanced financial modeling and data analysis.
• AP, AR, and Vendor Management: Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, troubleshooting accounting issues and maintaining seamless relationships with external vendors.
• White-Glove Communication: Serve as a responsive, proactive financial point of contact for clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders, ensuring inquiries are addressed thoroughly and promptly.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate financial statements and deliver data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Execution Under Pressure: Manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and ad-hoc operational requests in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or auditing.
• Technical Proficiency: 3+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Desktop preferred) and strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP principles, general ledger operations, and loan/mortgage accounting concepts.
• Communication Style: Overly communicative and proactive by nature, with a commitment to maintaining clarity, alignment, and high service standards across all interactions.
• Mindset: Highly analytical, self-motivated, and resilient in navigating fast-paced or stressful market conditions independently.
