Operations Associate
Job Overview
NH Investment & Securities America is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Operations Desk in New York. The Operations Associate will serve as a key resource across various functions, supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm and helping ensure efficient coordination across teams.
This role will be responsible for a broad range of operational activities, including fundamental accounting/finance functions and firmwide administrative/employee support. The Associate will also support new business initiatives and other cross-functional projects as the firm continues to expand its U.S. operations.

Job Description
- Process accounts payable activities, including invoice review, payment processing, and maintenance of accurate supporting documentation.
- Review and process employee expense reports and reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare journal entries, maintain accounting records, and support month-end and year-end closing processes, including coordination of external audits.
- Assist with vendor management and regulatory reporting (e.g., FINRA filings)
- Support day-to-day firmwide operations and provide administrative and operational assistance to employees across the organization.
- Coordinate employee-related administrative matters, including onboarding and offboarding, vacation and leave tracking, insurance, and employee benefits.
- Support new business development initiatives by assisting with research, documentation, coordination, and other project-related activities.
- Assist with internal projects, company events, and other cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Education/Certification/Licensure:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience or training will also be considered.
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external counterparties.
- Prior experience in operations, accounting, finance, or compliance is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete work accurately and within required deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and clearly document information and findings.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable, with a willingness to support a broad range of firmwide functions and initiatives.
- Interest in developing a deeper understanding of financial markets, broker-dealer operations, and the securities industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounting, financial services, securities, or broker-dealer operations is preferred.
- FINRA Series 99 registration preferred; if not currently registered, must obtain the required registration within 180 days of employment.
- Fluency in both English and Korean.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
