A leading regional healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and clinical teams throughout a variety of surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team while helping ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Trinity Health's surgical services include general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, orthopedic and trauma procedures, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and robotic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms for scheduled and emergent surgical procedures

  • Assemble and organize sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment

  • Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures

  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and provide appropriate instruments and supplies

  • Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures

  • Perform surgical counts in collaboration with the circulating RN

  • Handle, clean, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment

  • Ensure surgical equipment is properly functioning and available for procedures

  • Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and draping

  • Support infection prevention and patient safety practices

  • Assist with operating room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases

  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia personnel, and other members of the surgical team

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established departmental policies and procedures

  • Participate in quality, safety, and competency initiatives

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred

  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred

  • Current North Dakota UAP/Technician registration or applicable qualifying credential

  • LPN license may substitute for surgical tech certification/UAP requirements

  • Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile technique

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
