Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Experience:
• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 6 months of travel experience is required.
Requirements:
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of recent full time experience as a surgical technologist in a high volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of orthopedic surgery procedures.
Required Credentials: - Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. - Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed. - Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed.
Special Requests: - Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. - Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. - In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license.
Unit Details: - Orthopedic surgery service line. - Provides surgical care for total joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle), fracture repair, arthroscopic procedures, and sports medicine procedures.
Shift & Scheduling: - Weekday schedule. - Cases may start as early as 6:30 am, requiring arrival at 5:45am to ensure an on time start. - Call coverage required after normal business hours and on weekends.
Floating Requirements: - May float periodically to other services based on department needs.
5 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
