Salary Estimate: $93,600.00 - $141,440.00 / year

Job Summary

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center by overseeing the Main Operating Room. The Manager provides clinical leadership, personnel management, fiscal oversight, regulatory compliance, and collaborative relationships with nursing, anesthesia, surgical specialties and the OR team to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the Main Operating Room.
  • Perform personnel tasks including hiring, counseling, promoting, and disciplining staff.
  • Manage performance of all OR personnel, including role expectations and reviews.
  • Ensure cost‑effective, efficient operations.
  • Partner with surgeons to foster effective communication and satisfaction.
  • Hold clinic team accountable to high professional standards.
  • Analyze OR metrics to promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with facility partners (Infection Prevention, Quality, Risk Management, Instrument Processing, Supply Chain, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission.
  • Support and oversee department staffing and surgical volume expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or an active multistate RN license. Current BLS certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
  • Minimum one year supervisory or management experience; at least two years of clinical experience in specialty.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative services.
  • Strong physician relations and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, guide, mentor, evaluate, and counsel personnel.
  • Tactful, assertive, detail‑oriented, highly organized.
