The Division of Pulmonary,Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine is seeking applicants forfull-time faculty positions at the Instructor, Senior Instructor,Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level.Applicants should be enthusiastic about teaching medical andgraduate students, serving as research mentors in graduate andpostdoctoral training programs in Pulmonary Sciences and CriticalCare Medicine, and becoming active members of the Division ofPulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine, which fosterscollaboration between basic, translational, and clinicalresearchers.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Clinical outpatient consultations in interstitial lungdisease
  • Inpatient consultations inclusive of day and night service in the Medical ICU
  • Share on-call responsibilities with other clinical faculty to provide 24/7 coverage
  • Participate in the education of medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners
  • Engage in the academic mission of the Division and Lung Fibrosis Center and develop a robust research program in interstitial lungdisease with a focus on proteomics and the development of novel therapeutic targets

Welcome to the Division of Pulmonary Sciences, Allergy, andCritical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado! We arelocated at Anschutz Medical Campus and are housed in the Department of Medicine under the School of Medicine. Our over 140 faculty are located across four sites: the University of Colorado AnschutzMedical Campus , National JewishHealth , Denver Health, and the VA EasternColorado Health Care System .

Many seminaldiscoveries in pulmonary and critical care medicine occurred herein Denver, including advances in tuberculosis, interstitial lungdisease, airway disease, cancer, and critical care. Many of ourformer trainees have taken leadership roles in academic medicine,including Division and Department Chairs, Deans, and AmericanThoracic Society Presidents.

However, we do not rest on our laurels! We continue to enhance allaspects of our division and training program, and as a result, wehave seen tremendous and sustained growth. Senior Instructor:

  • General Internal Medicine knowledge base, advanced lung diseaseand critical illness-related specialized knowledge and skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of standard inpatient and outpatient clinicaloperations and procedures
  • Knowledge of diagnosis in disorders and diseases of thelungs
  • Ability to work independently, as well as serving as a teammember
  • Skilled in the use of an EMR for patient charting and allstandard office software
  • Ability to develop collaborative or independent researchprojects
  • Ability to provide educational knowledge and skills to variouslearners

Anticipated Pay Range:

  • Instructor: $50,000 to $150,000
  • Senior Instructor: $70,000 to $200,000
  • Assistant Professor: $72,160 to $275,000
  • Associate Professor: $82,712 to $300,000
  • Professor: $115,866 to $450,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting. This position is noteligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
