Open Rank, Finance Faculty (T/TT)

Overview

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty appointment—assistant, associate or full professor—in Finance to begin Fall 2026. We seek candidates who stand out in both research productivity and teaching potential across all areas of finance.

Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis; early applications, especially from experienced candidates, are strongly encouraged. The application deadline is December 1, 2025.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in finance or related field by the start of the position.
• Active academic research program demonstrating the ability to produce work of the highest quality and to publish at premier outlets.
• Ability to teach in a student‑centered environment, engaging students in dynamic and unstructured settings, and to develop curriculum materials for both internal and external use.
• Commitment to uphold Darden community values, contribute as a leader in academia and to the profession, and engage with practicing managers.

Application Requirements

• A cover letter describing your research agenda and teaching experience, including a summary of teaching evaluations if available.
• At least one research paper (published or a working paper).
• Three letters of recommendation.
