Open Rank Faculty In Dermatology - Mohs Surgery

Department Overview

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking a full‑time or part‑time, tenure‑chasing or non‑tenure position for an open‑rank Professor of Dermatology specializing in Mohs Surgery. The department receives approximately 25,000 visits at its main campus and is looking for a second Mohs surgeon to complement our team of clinicians. The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South and seeks to enrich the quality of human life through improved health, compassionate care, medical knowledge, and a professional environment for trainees in dermatology.

Responsibilities

Teaching of residents and medical students, direct patient care, and participation in scholarly activities. A commitment to teaching, clinical excellence, and academic scholarship is essential.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO, be ABMS board‑certified or board‑eligible in dermatology, and be fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Rank will depend on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.
