Overview

The Dermatology Department at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks an energetic investigator to join its research platform. Candidates with interest in oncology, targeted therapies, immunology, epidemiology, and cell biology are particularly encouraged to apply.

Candidate will receive a start‑up package commensurate with experience and goals. Time allocation is negotiable, ranging from 50–80 %.

The Department, founded in 1924, aims to produce excellent patient care, advance dermatology, and inspire future generations.

Positions remain open until filled. A background check will be required at time of offer per University Policy.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have an MD and be ABMS board‑certified or board‑eligible in dermatology. Dual board certification or eligibility in dermatopathology is encouraged; a limited dermatopathology service is anticipated.

Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Rank will depend on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.
