Position Title: One to One Inclusive Education Paraprofessional/Classroom Assistant, 35 hours week, school year calendar
Department: Educational Support Services
Job Summary: The inclusive education paraprofessional/classroom assistant provides assistance both to teachers and students in the classroom. They may also work in the general education classroom or on an individual basis with students requiring close supervision and special assistance.
Essential Duties:

1. Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction of the Inclusion ESS teacher.
2. Assist in implementation of Personalized Education Plans (PEP) , Academic Interventions and/or Behavioral Intervention Plans for students and monitor their progress.
3. Provide support for students outside the classroom to allow them to fully participate in activities safely.
4. Support students with emotional or behavioral concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social skills.
5. Support students with personal grooming, feeding, bathrooming and/or hygiene as needed.
6. Uphold the mission and values of Holland Christian Schools.
7. Hold a deep and genuine love for God and all children.

Qualifications:

1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Hold a high school diploma or GED
3. Be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (positioning, lifting, transferring.)
4. Have demonstrated the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
