Mercy seeks an Oncology Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. In this role, you’ll coordinate chemotherapy and related therapies, monitor symptoms, educate patients and families, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities
- Provide direct oncology nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and related therapies
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications safely
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for treatment side effects and complications
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, symptom management, and home care
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other team members
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Follow infection control and safety protocols for high-risk oncology populations
- Respond to urgent or emergent patient situations and elevate care appropriately
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects

Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certification
