Hartford Healthcare seeks an Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult oncology patients. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive oncology-focused histories and physical exams
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging
- Develop and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and symptom-management plans under collaborative agreements
- Prescribe medications and supportive treatments per scope and protocols
- Monitor treatment response, manage toxicities, and adjust care plans
- Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment options, and side effects
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, nurses, social work, and other specialists
- Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
- Document care in the electronic health record with accuracy and timeliness
- Contribute to survivorship, palliative, and end-of-life care planning

Requirements
- Current RN license and APRN license or PA-C certification (state-eligible)
- National board certification as an APRN (AGACNP, AGPCNP, FNP) or NCCPA for PAs
- Oncology nursing or advanced oncology certification (e.g., AOCNP) preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience in hematology/oncology, inpatient oncology, or related acute care strongly preferred
