Hartford Healthcare seeks an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver advanced oncology care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In collaboration with oncologists and a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct assessments, manage chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens, coordinate survivorship and palliative care, and educate patients and families. You will utilize cutting-edge technologies and evidence-based protocols while contributing to quality initiatives.   • Conduct comprehensive oncology assessments and histories
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Develop and adjust chemotherapy and immunotherapy care plans under collaborative practice agreements
  • Prescribe medications and manage treatment-related toxicities and side effects
  • Provide symptom management, supportive, and palliative care in collaboration with the care team
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and survivorship care plans
  • Coordinate care with oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, nurses, and ancillary services
  • Document care in the electronic health record in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support clinical trials and adherence to evidence-based oncology protocols when applicable
  • Oncology patient assessment

  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Ongoing CME in oncology/hematology
