To support cancer data management, the full-time Oncology Data Specialist will be responsible for the collection, retrieval, and analysis of patient data, ensuring compliance with Commission on Cancer standards while working remotely with occasional onsite requirements. Key responsibilities Collect, retrieve, and analyze data on cancer patients and benign tumors Maintain current knowledge of Commission on Cancer standards and provide guidance for achieving program accreditations Initiate and coordinate clinical data collection, submitting reports using statistical techniques Required qualifications Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Cancer Registry Management, or a bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology 1 year of experience in Cancer Registry 2 years of experience in healthcare Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) Certification required, obtainable within 2 years of hire Preferred: 3 years as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) and experience in a hospital-based registry
