Role Overview
The Oncology Analytics & Insights Lead serves as a central connective leader across the commercial analytics ecosystem, providing deep Oncology analytics subject matter expertise while driving alignment across GCO, GTM segments, TES, Advanced Analytics, CSIH, Information Solutions and other supporting functions. This role bridges strategy and execution by shaping how analytics capabilities are positioned, evolved, sold, and operationalized—ensuring consistency, scalability, and client relevance. The Lead partners closely with senior stakeholders to translate complex Oncology analytic capabilities into clear commercial value, guide solutioning for priority opportunities, and inform the future direction of analytics based on client needs and market evolution. While not responsible for technical execution, the Lead plays a critical advisory role in ensuring offerings are clinically credible, analytically sound, commercially differentiated, and delivered efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Partner with GTM leadership and segment teams to shape commercial strategy and drive consistent analytics positioning across customer segments.
- Enable GTM teams through ongoing education on offering updates, new capabilities, and therapeutic‑specific analytics evolution.
- Provide deep subject matter expertise in support of pipeline development, deal shaping, and complex opportunity qualification.
- Support direct opportunity solutioning, client meetings, and executive discussions by translating complex analytic approaches into clear, decision‑oriented guidance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales and client teams, ensuring the right balance of standardized, hybrid, and custom analytics solutions based on client objectives and data readiness.
- Collaborate with Brand, Field, Market Access, and Innovation teams in Analytics & Technology to align analytic solutions with functional needs and use cases.
- Serve as a recognized subject‑matter expert across key therapeutic areas, supporting credible analytic conversations, thought‑leadership activities and IQVIA’s overall role as a trusted advisor.
- Serve as a key voice in prioritizing and shaping future offerings, informed by ongoing voice‑of‑customer insights and market feedback.
- Guide the evolution of therapeutic analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment to commercial strategy, client demand, and enterprise standards.
- Translate the appropriate logic and methodological needs between Systems, GCO platforms and Advanced Analytics.
- Provide structured input into roadmap decisions, capability investments, and packaging strategies to maximize adoption and impact.
- Refine value propositions and solution narratives that resonate with senior client stakeholders.
- Align and streamline delivery capabilities with current and future commercial needs in partnership with Clinical, Delivery, and Advanced Analytics leadership.
- Create and refine therapeutic standards, including market definitions and therapy area frameworks, to be leveraged consistently by multiple teams and solutions.
- Optimize, standardize, and define best practices across therapeutic analytics solutions.
- Promote scalable delivery models that protect quality while improving efficiency, predictability, and speed to value.
- Support achievement of near‑term and long‑term financial objectives by promoting scalable, repeatable, and cost‑effective analytics models.
- Evolve how teams collaborate across business areas, driving standardized and sustainable operating approaches.
- Develop mature business practices that balance innovation with operational discipline.
- Mentor and support development of mid‑level talent by modeling strong therapeutic reasoning, analytic judgment, and consultative problem solving.
- Act as a connective leader across TES, GTM, GCO, Delivery, and Information Solutions to reduce friction, eliminate duplication, and improve enterprise coordination.
Minimum Required Education and Experience
- 12-15 years of professional experience in analytics, consulting, or life sciences.
- 10+ years in the biopharma, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated expertise and credibility in analytics discussions, including deep oncology and oncology analytics expertise.
- Demonstrated client‑facing experience, including participation in client meetings, solution discussions, and executive‑level conversations as a trusted analytics and therapeutic advisor.
- Proven ability to translate advanced analytics into business‑ready insights, partnering effectively with technical teams and client‑facing stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytics expertise with the ability to understand, evaluate, and apply advanced analytic approaches in a therapy‑specific business context.
- Expertise applied within an understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, client decision‑making, and evolving market needs.
- Client‑facing advisory skills, including comfort participating in and contributing to senior‑level client meetings and solution discussions.
- Highly effective cross‑functional collaboration with Clinical, Advanced Analytics, Delivery, Commercial, Market Access, and Data teams.
- Strong judgment and influence skills, enabling guidance on analytic approach selection, trade‑offs, and solution fit without direct delivery ownership.
- Ability to shape and enable change through influence, helping teams adopt new analytic approaches and standards while balancing scalability and practicality.
- Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to articulate analytic value, therapeutic relevance, and solution rationale.
Compensation
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $130,200.00 - $453,700.00. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other compensation may be offered in addition to a range of health and welfare benefits.
