Working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary oncology team, the physician will address the psychological, emotional, and psychiatric challenges associated with cancer diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. The Oncological Psychiatrist will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that enhances quality of life, supports treatment adherence, and helps patients and their families navigate the emotional complexities of the cancer journey.Key ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside, oncologists, nurses and social workers to treat cancer patients undergoing treatment.Manage psychiatric symptoms caused by cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy-induced mood changes, delirium or cognitive effects.Help cancer patients process and manage stress, anxiety, and depression and improve coping strategies.Help ensure cancer patients are emotionally prepared and mentally resilient, which can improve treatment outcomes.QualificationsMD or DO degree.Board Certification in PsychiatryFellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferredExperience with cancer patients preferredAbility to be licensed in the State of FloridaBenefitsWe believe in the physical and mental well-being of our employees and are committed to offering comprehensive benefits that fit their personal needs.
