The Chief Engineer is responsible for the management, supervision, and professional development of all building engineering personnel.

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:Daily checks with building engineers and techniciansWeekly reportsTime sheet reviewTime exception reviewOvertimePTOScreen, hire, supervise, and coordinate training activities for engineering staffProvide technical support, job delegation, and project management to engineering teamAssist with reducing operating expenses while maintaining and enhancing the quality of the services providedAssist in generating and executing budgetsAssist with generating scope for /RFA/RFPAssist in project managementOutline a seamless customer impactEnsure safety guidelines are followedProvide on time updates to clientAssist with construction projectsReview construction drawings to ensure standards are followedCollaborate with GC's on impacts to existing customers, FLS impairments, warranty work, etc.Oversee commissioning of new equipmentVendor contract review and managementMonitor and control energy efficiencyAssist with generating SOP'sEnsure OSHA complianceEnsure team development goals are outlined and metPerforms other duties as assigned or requestedRequired experience & skills:The Chief Engineer shall possess at least five years (within the past seven years) experience in the management and supervision of building mechanical operations and maintenance for high rise buildings.They shall also be required to have an Arizona Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning Operators License and a Universal Refrigerant CertificationPreferred experience & skills:Federal Government ExperienceHigh Rise Office Building ExperienceSalary range: $35-40/hr. *Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.*Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.*Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.Additional informationCompetitive benefits for eligible employees include:Medical & RxDentalVisionFlexible Spending Accounts401(k) Retirement PlanLife Insurance/AD&DLong Term Disability and Short-Term DisabilityPaid Time OffHoliday PayAll positions require a background check after acceptance of our offer.
