Full Job Description
K&I Healthcare Services, LLC is a supportive and inclusive organization that provides behavioral health services to adults and children. We have an exciting opportunity to work in our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Waldorf. K&I is seeking a Clinical Director to join our team, particularly interested in hiring an LCSW-C or LCPC Board‑approved supervisor. Our goal is to provide clinicians opportunities to develop into strong professionals and leaders in the mental health community.
As an OMHC, we treat patients of all ages for co‑occurring mental health conditions, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and many other conditions. We are looking for a clinical director to keep our vision on track as well as organize and oversee the people and programs of our clinical department. The candidate who will be most successful has previous experience in a high‑volume practice and many years of experience in providing supervision to other therapists. As a Clinical Director, you must have an exceedingly high understanding of Maryland state behavioral health laws and be well‑versed in the ethics requirements for all therapy licenses. Additional skills include being a self‑starter, an excellent communicator across multiple platforms, and outstanding management and mentoring skills. You must respect policies and ethics, inspire others, and ensure the smooth running of the clinical department, aiming for maximum performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan and implement strategies for program continuation and growth.
- Provide clinical training to clinical staff and interns.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude toward the agency and its overall success.
- Provide both clinical and personnel supervision of the clinical staff.
- Think critically, solve problems and exercise good decision‑making skills; foster a staff culture that supports the agency’s values and codes of conduct and provide assistance and information to senior management from time to time.
- Provide full‑range clinical supervision and oversight of assigned therapists (Individual and group supervision) and manage a small caseload of clients.
- Review assigned therapist notes, treatment plans, and clinical work in line with COMAR and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide clinical support and helpful resources to assigned therapists.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Supervisors and associate directors as required.
- Provide leadership and clinical oversight of clinical staff.
- Provide a periodic review of programs, including compliance with COMAR, corporate policies, and employment contracts.
- Organize and manage clinical training sessions for staff.
Qualifications
- LCPC or LCSW‑C
- Three to five years of progressively responsible program management experience and staff supervision, including expertise in transforming clinical staff into a highly functional team.
- Proven experience understanding and demonstrating ability to generate revenues for clinical services.
- Experience and confidence in identifying and implementing evidence‑based practices.
- Experience working in a crisis setting with individuals and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel, and customized databases.
- Ability to work in and adapt to the culture of a multicultural, community‑based organization.
- Good interpersonal skills, and ability to relate well with persons from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural groups.
- Supervising Experience: 3 years (Preferred).
- Leadership Experience: 3 years (Preferred).

Schedule
- 8‑hour shift.
- Monday to Friday.

- Cover two locations but assigned to one location.
