Oklahoma Licensed Inpatient Coder

To support healthcare operations, the full-time Oklahoma Licensed Inpatient Coder will review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes while adhering to ethical coding standards in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Review and analyze documentation in medical records for accurate coding of inpatient and outpatient services Assign diagnoses and procedure codes in compliance with official coding guidelines Maintain knowledge of coding classification systems and ensure adherence to ethical coding standards Required qualifications High school diploma; A.S. or B.S. in Health Information Technology or Management preferred Prior experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding in an acute care or outpatient setting Certification as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC to be obtained within 6 months of employment Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding systems Familiarity with 3M encoder and Epic system preferred
