To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist Sr will analyze clinical information, assign ICD-10 and CPT codes, and provide mentorship to onboarding coders in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Assign hospital DRGs and analyze documentation for appropriate severity of illness and risk of mortality reporting Mentor and train onboarding coders while coordinating documentation needs with the Clinical Documentation Specialist Review provider documentation for coding appropriateness and assign diagnosis and procedure codes for various medical services Required qualifications CCS, CPC, CRC, RHIT, or RHIA certification with two years of relevant coding experience Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding applications Proficiency in various computer applications including Windows and healthcare information systems Ability to communicate effectively in English
