Oklahoma Certified Coder

To support accurate and compliant coding of outpatient medical encounters, the full-time remote Certified Coder will analyze clinical information, assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes, and maintain productivity and accuracy standards. Key responsibilities Review and analyze medical records to assign diagnosis and procedure codes for outpatient encounters Identify documentation gaps and initiate queries for clarification to ensure accurate coding Collaborate with team members and internal partners to complete coding tasks efficiently and accurately Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED Certification as AHIMA-CCA, AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CPC-A, AAPC-CIC, or AAPC-COC Experience applying ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding guidelines Ability to resolve routine coding edits and maintain productivity standards Familiarity with coding tools and references for accurate code assignment
