The Oil & Gas Revenue Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate revenue records, processing revenue transactions, coordinating regulatory filings, and ensuring proper allocation and reporting of oil and gas revenues. Candidate must relocate to Denver, Colorado.
Generous relocation package provided.Job Type: Direct HirePay Rate: $80,000 – $143,000 annually (based on experience)Benefits: Annual incentive compensation, Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matchOil & Gas Revenue Accountant Responsibilities:Maintain accurate records of all revenue transactions and process proceedsCoordinate and support monthly regulatory filings and payments (ONRR, Tribal, BIA, and production taxes)Perform allocation of wellhead sales to working interest owners for current and prior period adjustmentsEnsure revenue accounts receivable are properly offset against cash receipts after bookingEstablish revenue agreements and shipper contracts within the accounting systemPrepare monthly and quarterly revenue variance analysesCoordinate with Field and Marketing teams to ensure accuracy of volumes and pricingCalculate and record monthly revenue accrual entriesCoordinate and process monthly revenue payment runsCalculate pipeline inventories and imbalances; prepare ledger entries and sales adjustmentsResearch, reconcile, and resolve outstanding accounts receivablePrepare monthly account reconciliations as assignedManage suspense balances in coordination with the land administration teamMaintain payout balances and ensure timely prior period adjustmentsPrepare revenue source documentation for audit requestsServe as a primary contact for owner inquiries and provide prompt, accurate responsesMaintain accurate inventory accounting for oil volumes at terminals and in rail carsProcess owner voids and re-issuesPerform other duties as assignedOil & Gas Revenue Accountant Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of oil and gas revenue distributions and division of interestWorking knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Experience with oil and gas contractsStrong account reconciliation and receivables collection skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple organizational levelsOil & Gas Revenue Accountant Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a business-related or accounting discipline preferredMinimum of 3+ years of oil and gas revenue accounting experienceProficiency with oil and gas accounting softwareWorking knowledge of Enertia is a plusExperience with tribal and federal lands (Utah experience a plus)Oil & Gas Revenue Accountant - Immediate need.
