Finance AssistantOhioans for Amy Acton is seeking a finance assistant to join our finance team. This role will be a key part of our campaign's fundraising efforts, working within the finance department to help support our in-state events program, call time program, and overall fundraising program.Employment type: Full-timeLocation: Columbus, OhioSalary range: $4,000 monthlyApplication deadline: Applications accepted and considered on a rolling basis.Summary of Position:The finance assistant will support the call time program, work closely with the Finance Directors and the Call time team to assist in the scheduling, staffing, and prep for the call time program, research and prospect potential donors, help to fill in and staff candidate call time as needed, support the events program, work with the Ohio Finance Director and in-state team to help coordinate and organize events across the state, work directly with hosts on planning and executing fundraising events, manage event invites, RSVP lists, and donation processing systems, staff events across Ohio, help to prepare memos and other briefing materials, assist the Finance Directors with the outreach to the National Finance Committee, help assist the donor thank you program, assist in operational needs such as compliance and mail, and other responsibilities as required.Qualifications:Strong relationship-building and donor management skillsExcellent writing and editing skills as well as attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, shifting environmentWillingness to learn, share, and collaborate across departmentsWillingness to work long hours and irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekendsPreferred, but not required:Experience in a finance role on a campaign or similar organizationExperience working with NGP and ActBlueAdditional consideration will be given to candidates with Ohio tiesCompensation:Salary: $4,000 per monthOptional benefits fully paid by the campaign: health insurance, dental, visionLeave: Paid time off will be available per campaign policy.Hours: This position's schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.To apply, please email your resume and cover letter to with the subject line "Finance Assistant - Your Name."Ohioans for Amy Acton is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment in all its forms.
