To support outpatient ancillary services, the full-time Ohio Licensed Coder II will translate medical narratives into accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes, ensuring coding quality and productivity while working remotely. Key responsibilities Reviews and assigns accurate codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency records, maintaining a coding accuracy rating of at least 95% Performs coding efficiently to meet productivity standards and assists in achieving departmental goals Reviews and resolves claim edits, making necessary corrections based on feedback from payers and auditors Required qualifications High school diploma or GED Formal education in ICD-9-CM/CPT coding, medical terminology, and anatomy At least 1 year of acute care coding experience Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
