Christian ReceptionistWe are looking for an enthusiastic Christian Receptionist to perform the responsibilities and duties of running the office smoothly. The candidate must be friendly and welcoming to our families, students and guests as they enter the building. The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus and be dedicated and promote the philosophy of Christian education.
Essential skills include being in whole-hearted agreement with the school's Tenets of Faith, being a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions, communicating and working effectively with faculty, staff and parents, refusing to use or circulate confidential information inappropriately, committing to performing school duties in a manner of excellence, cooperating with the school board and administration in implementing policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school, reflecting the purpose of our school, which is to aspire to provide an excellent, high-quality education for students and families and to build Christ-centered relationships between the school, home, church and community, while cultivating the desire to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, being able to move throughout all parts of the building in a timely manner so as to fulfill his/her responsibilities appropriately, desiring to work in the context of a Christian professional learning community, and having a mature relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence of a Biblical lifestyle.Job responsibilities include performing and/or delegating any work requested by the administrator in an effort to keep all operations of Rhema Christian School running smoothly, performing all work in a confidential manner, performing typing, filing, copying of documents as requested by the administrator and teachers, operating office computers efficiently and effectively, handling and processing all mail and documents coming into the school office, receiving and processing all deliveries and communicating to faculty and staff to pick up supplies, accurately communicating to the administrator necessary information such as faculty, staff or parent concerns, handbook violations, after-school violations, etc, administering prayer, first aid, medication, and parent notification in the event of an illness or injury when the school nurse is not available, overseeing and answering the phones, managing the administrators calendar with appointments, managing our volunteers, managing the attendance from the teachers and recording tardy/absences, representing the school in a positive, professional and Christ-like manner to potential families and making available to them all appropriate information by phone, mail or in person, and ensuring the reception area is tidy and welcoming.Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in office administration is a plus. Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment. Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment. A friendly and professional demeanor with a passion for working in an educational setting.
Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 Clearances. Must have a valid PA driver's license and a clean driving record.
