Oculoplastic Surgeon, Department of Ophthalmology

Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks an Academic Oculoplastic Surgeon for a part‑time, non‑tenure track position in the Department of Ophthalmology. The role focuses on a broad range of cosmetic and functional procedures, including complex orbital and reconstructive surgery. The faculty group places strong emphasis on resident education, and enthusiasm for teaching is preferred. Essential Functions

• Perform clinical duties in Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics, including participation in the operating room and outpatient clinic.
• Advise and train fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Demonstrate a commitment to an academic career through research, teaching, and support of the department’s academic mission.
• Attend departmental and divisional meetings, grand rounds, and educational conferences as required.

Minimum Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited residency in Ophthalmology
• Completion of an Oculoplastic Fellowship
• Board eligible or Board certified in Ophthalmology
• Licensure by the Ohio Medical Board is required at the time of appointment
