Assistant Professor, Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon

New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center is a full-time, dynamic Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon position at the Assistant Professor level. This unique opportunity is part of the Tufts University School of Medicine and the Tufts Medicine health system, delivering innovative and comprehensive care across Massachusetts and New England.

About the Opportunity

This role combines the prestige of Tufts Medical Center with rapid growth opportunities in both academic and private practice settings. Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert clinical care within the resource-rich environment of Tufts Medical Center in Boston and extend reach through practice at strategically located suburban satellite locations.
  • Engage deeply in academic medicine by teaching and mentoring ophthalmology residents and medical students.
  • Participate in academic and clinical research, translating clinical observations into research questions.
  • Be an integral part of a high-volume oculofacial plastic surgery service, building a strong functional and aesthetic surgical volume.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Completion of a 2-year ASOPRS-approved fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery.
  • Eligible for a Massachusetts medical license.
  • Demonstrated drive and enthusiasm for developing a thriving clinical practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to medical education.
  • Interest in clinical research.

The salary range for this position is $238,304 - $314,916 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
