Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership

  • Lead all OCM strategy and execution for the SAP deployment.
  • Build stakeholder maps, engagement plans, and readiness assessments.
  • Facilitate user demos and feedback sessions.
  • Align change activities with technical milestones and SI deliverables.

Communications

  • Write all project communications, including emails, newsletters, and readiness updates.
  • Produce clear, concise content tailored to field engineers transitioning from paper-based workflows to SAP.
  • Own the training plan and develop training materials (approx. 20–25 assets).
  • Deliver role-based training for ~50 end users with varying SAP experience.
  • Leverage in-house resources and SAP teams for SAP Basics content.
  • Support the model of technical go-live first, followed by end-user training.

Adoption & Readiness

  • Create job aids, quick reference guides, and workflow documentation.
  • Monitor adoption and adjust materials based on feedback.
  • Support hypercare and stabilization activities post go-live.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the OCM point of contact for the system integrator.
  • Coordinate with SAP functional teams, project leadership, and field engineering managers.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of organizational change management experience (ERP/SAP preferred).
  • Proven ability to operate independently as a one-person OCM function.
  • Strong writing skills for communications and training content.
  • Experience developing training materials for technical or field-based users.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar SAP modules.
  • Experience working with system integrators.
  • Background supporting transitions from paper-based processes to digital systems.
  • Experience in utilities, engineering, or field services environments.
  • Hybrid role based in San Diego. Onsite presence required 1–2 days biweekly, occasionally once per month.
  • Contract Role Estimated duration is about 4-6 months. Target range is $90-100/hr.
