Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Hand Therapy (Outpatient Orthopedics)

Location: 3385 Mariner Blvd Spring Hill FL 34609

Schedule: As Needed, Monday–Friday

Pay: $35/hr

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a per diem COTA with at least 1 year of recent hand therapy experience to support our outpatient clinic. You’ll treat upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, and post-op fractures, working alongside experienced hand therapists and orthopedic surgeons.

Responsibilities

  Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.

  n

• n

  Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components

  n

• n

  Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.

  n

• n

  Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals

  n
n
• n

  Ensure proper documentation of patient care.

  n
n
• n

  Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Qualifications

• n

  Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program

  n
n
• n

  National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED

  n
n
• n

  Must have previous 1 year experience working with hand therapy patients.

  n
n
• n

  Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

  n
n
• n

  Valid state driver’s license

  n
n
